We were delighted to see the way in which our families came together to support children in designing some amazing and outstanding Islamic Studies Home Learning Projects.

We set the challenge of specifically talking about the Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him. We believe that The Prophet Muhammad and his lofty status within Islam is of utmost importance to us.

Allah mentioned: “ Indeed in the messenger of Allah (Muhammad) you have a good example to follow, for him who hopes in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much” [Al-Ahzab – 31].

Allah chose him to be the seal of the Prophets. In addition to this, we know through narrations about him that he had outstanding character and etiquette.

We encouraged our families to consider several questions when thinking about their projects:

The Prophet Muhammad

Why is he special ?

Where was he born ?

What is his father’s name ?

What is his mother’s name ?

What was his first wife’s name ?

What was he able to do by Allah’s permission ?

Where was he when the Quran was revealed to him ?

How old was he when the Angel Jebreel came to him ?

When the Angel Jebreel told him to read what was his reply ?

The Prophet Muhammad said: “Whoever treads a path of seeking knowledge. Allah will make easy for him the path to Jannah”.

[Bukhari and Muslim]
