We at Iqra have joined The Faith and Belief Forum’s ‘School Linking Programme’. This matches students and classes from different cultural or faith backgrounds in order to explore issues of identity, community and belief. The Faith & Belief Forum exists to create good relations between people of different faiths and beliefs. We believe the future belongs to people of all beliefs, that religious intolerance has no place in society and that diversity adds value.

With this in mind, Year 4 children visited St Andrew’s Church of England Primary School in Lambeth. This gave the children a platform to meet other students from the same borough and learn a little more about each other. Children were able to deepen their knowledge and understanding of different beliefs by engaging directly with students from different backgrounds. We also  developed skills of communication, empathy and reflection.
