Term Times
Please note, although other schools will be off next week, we are still in school. Our last day is the 22nd of April and we will finish at 12pm.

Year 6 Booster Lessons
Year 6 will have special booster lessons during the end of term break in order to make sure that they are confident for the SATs and that there are no gaps in their learning.
These sessions will be held on from the 25th of April to 28th of April and then on Friday 6th of May, between 9am-12pm.
Please remember the Years 6s in your duas!

Ramadan timings
We will have a slight change to the timetable for the month of Ramadan.

Online course on parenting for fathers
EPEC (Empowering parents, empowering communities) are running a parenting programme. This is for dads only and will be held online. If you are interested, you can register below.

Eat them to defeat them
Iqra primary school participated in the ‘Eat them to defeat them’ campaign.Ā Each class from Year 1 to Year 5 performedĀ either a fantastic vegetable poem or rap in assembly.Ā Children were given ‘Eat them to defeat them’ activity packs and stickers.Ā Today, children were very excited as they used their DT session to make a vegetable dish.Ā Year 1 made smoothies using spinach.Ā Year 2 made sandwiches using lettuce, cucumber, sweetcorn and tomatoes.Ā Year 4 made vegetable saute wraps and Year 5 made stuffed peppers using Mexican spicy rice, sweetcorn, peas and cheese.Ā All children from these classes were very enthusiastic and eager to take part in this cooking activity. Children showed great communication skills and followed the recipes given to them.Ā Despite being apprehensive about some vegetables, children enjoyed eating vegetables and dishes that they hadn’t tasted before.

Please note that parents need to fill in consent forms if their child is fasting. Consent forms have been sent home with Years 5 and 6. For Year 4, they are available from the office.Ā
