On Friday we celebrated Eid as a school. Mashallah, all our children looked lovely as they dressed up in their special clothes.
The school provided a delicious meal to each child: Lamb or Vegetable Kabsa or Jerk chicken with Jollof Rice!
Hats off to our amazing PCs (Parent Council) who made the day extra special for our children – with funds raised from previous PC events, they purchased special gifts for every child in Iqra from Nursery to Reception.
They sacrificed their time to order gifts, packing them into special bags and then also organising play events for the children.
We would also like to thank our fantastic parent volunteers who came in on the day to help manage the outdoor events, without whom the day would not have been possible.
This was a memorable day enjoyed by all the children and teachers.
We would like to thank all the Parent Council members who helped to make the event possible and took their time out to make the day special for the children.
Hadith of the Week
Bara bin Azib, may Allah be pleased with him, said,
The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was of a medium build, he had broad shoulders and he had thick hair which reached his ear-lobes; he wore a red striped lungi waist wrap and shawl. I never saw anybody or anything more handsome than him.
