Our first week back saw the children casting their votes to choose the new student councillors for each of the classes.
Student Councillors are an important part of the school and regularly meet with the headteacher in order to discuss ways in which the school can be improved.
Iqra seeks to instil democratic values in our children through the school council. Our students put themselves forward as nominees, and deliver speeches explaining why they should be elected.
Children then go on to vote for their favourite candidate on ballot day.
Successful candidates were announced with Mayor Dogus and Councillor Bray.
