In Reception we have been busy learning lots of new things. We have been exploring our topics for the half-term, ‘transport’ and ‘people who help us’ through stories, role-play and art. We have enjoyed dressing up and role playing in our classroom. We have been doctors, nurses, builders, post people and bus drivers.

We have been looking at forces in science and conducted our own experiment to explore how the wind moves things. We made our own wind streamers and took them outside to test how strong the wind was.

In maths we have been looking at numbers to 5, time and sequencing. We made our own fruit caterpillars after sequencing the order of the events. We enjoyed both the process of making our caterpillars and eating them. We also made our booklets exploring different ways of representing the numbers 1-5.
