This week has been art week at Iqra. The children have been exploring themselves and their identity, but in particular their Islamic identity. Year 3 engaged in some thoughtful discussions about what it means to be a Muslim for them and it was clear to see how much the children felt they could connect to our religion.
The children were then given the opportunity to use materials to explore and create a piece of artwork that they feel reflects their Islamic identity.
The end results were fantastic and Year 3 really enjoyed being given the time to create artwork freely.
